The Eldridge Hotel
LAWRENCE

Twice, the hotels that stood at this site burned to the ground. Once burned to the ground during Quantrill’s Raid and rebuilt, the Eldridge stands as a symbol of resilience—and supernatural unrest. Guests and staff report cold spots, objects moving, and doors opening on their own, particularly on the mysterious 5th floor.

Fort Leavenworth
LEAVENWORTH

The oldest active Army post west of the Mississippi also has its share of ghosts. Soldiers and families tell of spectral figures in historic quarters, including the restless spirit of Catherine Sutter, who wanders in search of her lost children.

Kansas Statehouse
TOPEKA

Beneath its dome of grandeur lies a darker history: workers fell to their deaths during construction, and whispers tell of shadows moving in the halls long after the workday ends. Some staff have reported footsteps echoing where no one walks, and an uneasy presence lingers on the fifth floor. Others have reported the sound of hammering and clanking.
